Position Summary:
Jefferies is seeking entrepreneurial and team-oriented candidates for an Associate position in equity research in the New York office. As an Associate/Senior Associate, you will support a Senior Analyst on the Chemicals team providing research coverage for ~50 Chemical companies, as well as significant efforts on ESG.
Responsibilities will include:
Creation and maintenance of earnings and valuation models.
Analysis of industry trends and compilation of findings.
Production of weekly and monthly written research publications.
Development of relationships with management teams and industry contacts.
Communication of stock views and industry themes to institutional investors, trading desks, and other internal constituencies within Jefferies.
Qualifications
Key qualifications:
Must possess strong quantitative and writing skills
Attention to detail while interpreting data on multiple industries
Robust work ethic
Comfortable with utilizing factor based models, and alternative predictive frameworks (no prior knowledge base is needed)
Display a strong and proactive sense for professional writing
1-4 years of prior equity research experience (all sectors considered), or equivalent professional experience
