Overview

As a Production Support Analyst within the Investments Front Office team, you will have an opportunity to work in a high-paced, dynamic and constantly evolving environment. As part of the day-to-day work, you will solve production issues, closely monitor the production Front Office systems, perform maintenance and upgrades as needed and work with development peers to improve and stabilize the environment. Additionally, you are encouraged to challenge current processes implementing improvements and automation of manual processes while also engaging on new project development. The main objective of this team is to ensure that the Front Office systems operate smoothly and efficiently both from the front-end application perspective as well as batch and data feed perspective. The systems are used across the globe and this position requires 24/7 on-call support.

Accountable for work of self and sometimes others, provides process and standards advice in area of specialty
Works independently, receives minimal mentoring
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Role summary and job responsibilities

Responsible for swiftly resolving disruptions to technology services to minimize user impacts and maintain service levels
Reviews the production readiness of technology solution implementations and application deployments and coordinates next steps across the involved teams
Oversees and provides guidance on analysis of performance trends and actions being taken for preventing potential impacts
Effectively uses logic as a problem-solving tool
Demonstrates understanding of statistical models for problem analysis
Actively helps team members and makes suggestions to improve practices

Business knowledge

Possesses solid understanding of the tech and asset management industries and internal business units to enable navigation of key partners and understanding of impact

Requirements

Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience (Production Support/Application Support) working in a technical environment and solving technical issues related to applications, servers, database connectivity, etc., and following ITOM methodology
Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the broader technology portfolio including Unix, Windows,  cloud technologies and support tools, job scheduling, scripting, proficient with databases including Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase , etc.
A solid understanding of the broader technology portfolio I.E., New Relic, Splunk, ServiceNow, Cloud Monitoring Tools, etc.
Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies
Maintains root cause analysis skills for investigation of incidents impacting technology availability
Reviews capacity utilization for trends and raises awareness across teams to address areas of excess and shortages
Administers processes and procedures related to code management
Engages various teams to evaluate and implement performance tuning recommendations
Available for 24x7 on call rotation (every 4-6 weeks), 5-10 hours per rotation
