OVERVIEW

As an Account Executive (AE), you will be responsible for growing sales through the introduction and execution of sales plans and programs for key distributor and operator accounts.  This role is based out of Jackson, MS. 

Your business will support operators across multiple channels, including Commercial, K-12, Healthcare, Colleges & Universities, Lodging, and Business & Industry.  AEs are consistently challenged to grow relationships and deliver results.

The Jackson, MS Account Executive (AE) will be responsible for 4 distributors, Sysco Jackson, USF Jackson, Merchants and Crumbley.

Strong candidates will demonstrate advanced analytical skills and sales execution planning, as well as strategic account management.  The expectation of the role is to deliver solutions and become a respected and valued business partner.

In this role you will develop/have exposure to using Salesforce as a true business planning tool, creating customer promotions and incentives, investing trade funds to drive growth, and enhanced productivity and organizational skill development.  This territory is positioned for growth with a varied operator base.  The geography is very manageable and requires very limited overnight travel. 

This role is located in Jackson, MS. The health and safety of our employees is always our primary concern. As the organization continues to navigate its response to the complex and evolving COVID-19 pandemic, we anticipate that the majority of us will continue to work from home.  However, in working with the business leader, it has been determined that there will be a benefit to having the employee live in-market, and relo will be activated upon acceptance of the offer. Specific relocation timing will be discussed during interviews, if applicable.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Sustain and drive incremental volume

Identify and sell General Mills foodservice products to key operators across territory to grow volume of Region  
Collaborate with the Region's?Account Executives to create pull through demand for core gaps and innovation 
Work closely with distributors to train on our products that fit in commercial to obtain leads

Leverage Analytics and tools (i.e. Salesforce, Firefly) to identify and close on new opportunities

Develop strategic geographic call patterns to maximize call coverage (12 – 15 consultative calls per week to sell in 25+ additional slots to operators per month) 
Develop and leverage local operator opportunities (product and promotion) 

Other Accountabilities

Support critical distributor and industry events

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Win as a team (team player)
Self-motivated with ability to maintain workload from remote office
Must meet minimum 12-month time in role requirement before applying

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of industry experience
Problem solving skills
