Based in our Sandusky, MI location, you will work in a best-in-class manufacturing facility with a great team of professionals, to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes. You will also have an opportunity to develop and improve current manufacturing process to drive better quality, increased productivity, reduced costs, and improved safety.
 
AS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 

Require specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in the Engineering job discipline or related field.
Require deep technical expertise in one specialty. Emerson specialties include but are not limited to: Automation, Assembly & Processes, Robotics, Lean Manufacturing.
May lead functional teams or projects (internal or external) with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
Assist in determining equipment and process requirements for capacity planning.
Review, critique and approve design layouts, detail drawings, machine hydraulic, pneumatic, and control drawings.
Interface with other departments in establishing parts and material flow concepts within the manufacturing facility.
Troubleshoot and identify the causes of operational problems.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline
Two years of experience in a manufacturing setting
Experience with documenting processes, work instructions, standard work, time studies

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools
Experience in Machine Shop and Assembly environment highly desirable
Knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCad
