Job Description

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for coordinating with the Parts Business Unit and executing the agreed upon parts growth strategy & sales programs for the world area. This role will report directly to the North America Sales Leader and will collaborate with the North America sales channel and sales support organizations.

Description for Internal Candidates

AS A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER YOU WILL:

Lead business development & sales initiatives in world area for Fisher Parts to meet or exceed POR (volume goal).  
Collaborate with the Parts BU team to develop and execute the strategic part roadmap – includes growth plan for parts in the North America World Area and provides periodic updates (presentations) with Parts BU and NA World Area leadership.
Collaborate with regional/country sales managers, global project pursuit team, world area parts operations leaders, service leaders and NA Impact Partners to support annual growth plan. 
Maintain an accurate project parts pursuit list for sales pursuit activities with sales channel. Provide reports or forecasts to world area Sales Leader and world area Parts operations leader as requested.
Actively engage with Global Project Pursuit team and Project Management team to pursue parts opportunity on projects in world area.
Share best practices to other world areas and implements best practices from other world areas.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in technical sales, marketing, general management, business development and/or planning required.
Experience with market research and competitors 
General knowledge of financial reporting parameters and operational indicators 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
A Process Control industry experience
Previous work history with giving complex presentations
Experience developing and executing sales strategy, initiatives, and programs with disciplined follow up and accountability.
Working across a matrixed organization and managing by influence to gain support and alignment to complete strategic and/or tactical objectives that support parts growth in North America.
Complex problem-solving experience using information from multiple sources to determine root cause, creating solutions, and implementing to support the Parts Business in North America.
