Job Description

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Participates in the preparation of the annual standard cost development of the business.
Complete other ad-hoc and/or standard reporting processes as necessary
Participates in the preparation of the annual operating plan, periodical forecast and projections for the business.
Prepare analysis of cost out projects for the manufacturing operations, which might include purchase price, material usage, labor and overhead variances.
Develop the cost of new products when required
Supports the preparation of month end divisional and local reporting required
Supports the focus factory management in evaluating or identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing variances.
Supports the development of management presentations for the business.
Allocates costs, collects data, and prepares reports that maintain the company's cost accounting system.
Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures.
Prepares reports that compare budgets with actual expenses.
May prepare existing or projected profitability analyses.
Analyze and interpret financial performance, make recommendations to operations to maximize site financial results; establish targets as necessary/appropriate
Partner with Operations to drive initiatives improving operating performance including (but not limited) yield improvements, labor efficiency, spending and total cost reductions
Maintain internal control procedures, policies, and practices to ensure that the organization’s financial activities follow corporate policies, good accounting practices, procedures and regulations established by federal and local laws.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree required in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a Cost accounting position within a manufacturing environment., or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years finance experience with at least 3 years in a Cost accounting position within a manufacturing environment.-Preferred
Experience in financial forecasting and financial data analysis.
Bilingual Spanish and English.
Domain of microsoft programs: excel, word, power point

Nice to Have

Experience in BPCS system
Experience in SAP system
Power BI knowledge
