Position Summary
Perform functions to lead the Kroger Prescription Plan (KPP) Regional Sales Team, with sales goal and budget accountability. Serve as a member of the Senior PBM team, providing support to the SVP, KPP by assisting in the achievement of sales results. Establish strong business relationships with third-party administrators and other self-insured employers which may include Health Plans, Health Exchanges, Union Labor Funds, Health Care Coalitions, and Health Care Consultants while working within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Essential Job Functions

* Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the KPP's sales goals
* Manage the regional sales teams to deliver profitable growth
* Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
* Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
* Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements
* Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function while providing detailed and accurate sales forecasting
* Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
* Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
* Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support
* Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
* Interview, select, hire, train and assign associates; develop and communicate performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of associates, both as a department and individually
* Evaluate performance and provide direction, mentoring, coaching and cross training to associates; identify and provide associates training requirements; facilitate associate development and collaborate with direct reports to create professional development goals
* Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide direct feedback to direct reports
* Support development and implementation of department policies and procedures as needed; ensure associates understand and meet all requirements
* Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements
* Participate in variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies
* Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Position Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED
* 6+ years successful sales experience in the PBM or employee benefits industry
* Any prior sales team leadership experience in PBM Sales
* Ability to create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
* Demonstrated knowledge of the business model, products and services provided by specialty pharmacies
* Strong knowledge of business and ability to analyze data to identify actions to be taken, with strong process management skills
* Ability to manage the use of budgets
* Strong team building skills, and the ability to influence and lead, teach, train, counsel and coach to accomplish organizational goals
