Job Description
Job purpose
Providing Base Metal products and derivatives to new and existing customers in order to generate income for the company.
General Duties
Specialist base metals options sales, attached to the options trading desk, seeking to maximise desk profits
Speaking to clients
Visiting and onboarding clients
Taking orders Options
Agreeing order fills Options
Ensuring all customer accounts are in good order vs limits, margins etc
Option strategy idea generation and dissemination, both to clients and to internal sales desks
Marketing of option desk axes
Ad-hoc options education for clients / internal sales
Back-up option trading coverage when head trader is off desk
Enter trades into the booking system
Liaise with Ops to handle/prevent any problems.
Knowledge and Experience
Comprehensive experience of trading in all LME derived products both cleared and OTC
Good working knowledge of the International Metals Industry
Direct experience of marketing at a high level to corporates and funds
Comprehensive experience of Risk Management
Physical requirements/Working conditions:
Climate controlled office environment
Minimal physical requirements other than occasional light lifting of boxed materials
