Your daily routine ?

As part of the innovation lab of BNP Paribas in San Francisco called BNP Paribas C.Lab Americas, as a strategic analyst, your role will be split into 4 main activities with a strong focus on low carbon transition topics.

1. Consulting activity (75%)

You will participe to C.Lab Americas consulting assignments (digital strategy & innovation strategy missions, strategic studies, startup scouting and due diligence, partnership development…) with an action plan defined with your manager. You will assist in writing commercial proposals (mission details and perimeter, estimation of number of man days, timing of the delivery). You will participate to sales meeting and client relationship management with BNP Paribas C. Lab Americas management. You will manage your priorities in terms of time allocation for the different assignments.

2. Research and expertise development (10%)

You will research and develop an expertise in different areas (low carbon transition like mobility, energy, real estate & financial sevices according to the candidate appetite). You will develop a network of key contacts in the industries targeted with the idea to have a full immersive experience in the US innovation ecosystem.

3. Marketing and communication (5%)

You will contribute to the C.Lab Americas branding & marketing activities and by extension the Group in general (media interviews, videos and articles, events…).

4.  Team and office life (5%)

You will take part in C.Lab Americas team and BNP Paribas CIB San Francisco office activities (team meetings, offsite, special assignments, volunteering…). 

The working environment is important !

You will join a team of BNP Paribas C.Lab Americas of 3 people including 2 managers with more than 18 years of experience combined in open innovation in Silicon Valley. You will have the freedom to work at BNP Paribas CIB offices in the financial district of San Francisco and from home, following the rules and guidelines of BNP Paribas in the U.S.

On a typical day, as a junior analyst, you will start the day with calls from Europe with clients and prospects. Clients and prospects are executives of large corporate organizations in charge of business, strategy or innovation. You will work on research and the insights the lab will deliver to the client with the guidance of your managers. Working on the presentations include searching for innovations that can be relevant to solve the clients' problems and be able to present these innovations in a very clear and concise way. In the afternoon, you can also have meetings or calls with startups in the US to discover their innovations. You will understand both the problems of corporate executives and the innovative solutions of startups. This understanding helps BNP Paribas and its corporate clients to innovate.

Are you our next VIE ?

You have a master degree majoring in engineering and/or business and you have gained a minimum of 12 months’ experience (internships and work-study program included) in consulting role, innovation/digital lab or related activities.

You have a good knowledge in corporate strategy, a good understanding of the challenges of disruptive innovation, the energy and transport sectors.

You are familiar with the CSR and sustainable development related topics.

You speak English and you are fluent in one other European language (Spanish, German, Italian, French...).

You show good interpersonal skills, positive attitude to team work and a pro-active approach. You are eager to share your knowledge. Furthermore, your creativity, innovation and your ability to adapt will be assets to be successful in this mission.
