Operations Engineering First Line Leader

As an Operations Engineering Front Line Leader, you will be responsible for implementation and scheduling of a comprehensive predesigned qualification program for the manufacturing plant including its equipment, facilities and utilities.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

Primary contact for CMMS management on shift, to include the creation, scheduling, and execution of assigned work orders/PMs on shift. This will include tracking of mechanic performance to Maintenance Work Order generation and completion.

Work jointly with Engineering First Line Leader to identify learning gaps among Machine Maintenance Mechanics and develop training plan to eliminate gaps

Develop a communication plan to effectively pass information among Engineering and Operations using end of shift report communications.

Effectively troubleshoot high speed packaging machines, take corrective action to achieve optimum efficiency and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.

Effectively support operations in changeovers and continuously improve on target times and ways of working

Plan and execute preventative and reactive maintenance, according to SOP and GMP requirements.

Work with Production Engineer on management of spare parts inventory to include the development of Bill of Material (BOM) for Packaging Equipment. Efforts to include the development of min/max for inventory management and reduction of excess spares. Assist in management of spares parts inventory

Support equipment validations and new product introduction

Provide input in performance management of Machine Maintenance Mechanics

Follow and execute safety rules to include Electrical and Machinery Safety.

Maintain effectiveness in varying conditions and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people

Flexibility to work 12 hour days and extended hours, including weekends, as needed to achieve production schedule

Ability to analyze previous PM and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) data to prioritize focus and improve successful execution of PM/PDM Program

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

High School Diploma
5+ years experience in packaging, filling and automated machinery in a GMP environment

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

Associate's Degree
Basic machine shop experience preferred to include part design and fabrication
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills through understanding of machine alarms cause/effect and online PLC Troubleshooting, and root cause analysis tools.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their components.
Ability to effectively and efficiently develop and train others.
Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and programming of Robots, Scales, Vision Systems, Bar Code Units.
Ability to interact with Equipment OEM to troubleshoot machinery.
Ability to work with Engineering First Line Leader and Production Engineer to identify, develop and maintain improvements, create and maintain Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Program.
