Job Description

The Solutions Consultant is an expert in partner enablement in the enterprise and mid-market partner segment.  Serves as Tech Data's expert on the Vendor Partner's product line, including order processing, go to market planning, partner sales training and is an escalation point for a larger vendor team. Develops and builds a strong relationship with the Vendor Partner and Tech Data's inside and field Sales teams and the reseller community for vendors' products. Identifies ways, through programs, to increase revenue, market share and overall profitability. This position is responsible for supporting Data & IoT opportunities across multi-vendors solutions and use cases aligned to TD Synnex’s overall NextGen go-to-market strategy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports identified cross vendor sales and business expansion opportunities aligned to key Data & IoT sales plays, exhibiting multi-vendor solutions expertise

Performs Data & IoT vendor quoting, quote follow up, pipeline management, and provides education on Data and IoT vendor programs and promotions

Liaison between TD Synnex Sales and Vendor Management Teams depending on where vendor sourcing relationship resides: Strategic Procurement, Endpoint, etc.,

Responsible for revenue reporting, sku management and sales forecast by revenue margin for respective Data and IoT solution sets.

Support sales process in all activities including Data & IoT solutions awareness, sales promotion and training in order to achieve growth revenue targets

Collaborates and coordinates with customers, colleagues and vendors to resolve all pertinent pre-sales issues, and escalates issues when necessary.

Creates and delivers solutions (configurations) to the customer using judgment and discretion to select the appropriate tool sets and technical resources to support effectively configure, price, quote and process requests for specific hardware, software, services and configuration design.

Expand value add by teaming vendors together for full solutions working in conjunction with Solutions Consulting and Development Team(s)

Raise awareness and present the advantages of Data and IoT vendor solutions internally with TD Synnex sales reps and externally with reseller community in support of partner Data & IoT sales engagements

Stay up to date on current trends in verticals and Data and IoT opportunities to grow as SME within the marketspace.

Job Level Specifications:

Vendor solutions knowledge required and ability to quote solutions as needed

Knowledge of Data and IoT solutions & services 

Can move fluidly among product and service lines and be equally effective.

Subject matter expert (SME) for vendor technology solutions and/or offerings for Data and IoT ecosystem.

Identifies and creates opportunity demand for products, coordinating the supporting seminars, training and resource awareness to assigned customers that drives growth plan success in the targeted accounts

Performs analysis and reports results of various program impact for identified vendor line(s)

Working in conjunctions with Data/IoT Solutions Consulting and Solutions Development team(s), maintains and drives trending knowledge of products, competitors, technology and customers in the assigned supplier product market

Required Education:

High School/G.E.D.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor Degree

Previous Experience:

4+ years relevant (vendor expertise) and advanced systems, technology, and industry experience.

CRM experience preferred

Experience in Cloud computing and IoT sales/support preferred

MBA Preferred

Working Conditions:

Professional, office environment. Some travel may be required
