Job Description

We are looking for a talented Systems Validation Leader to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Columbus, IN

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Investigate electronic application and systems problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results.

Configure (tune), integrate, test, and release software, electronic control units, tools, sensors, actuators, and harnesses into an electronic system that controls the operation of Cummins’ products in a variety of customer applications.

Make decisions in the areas of electronic systems design, requirements, calibration, and test that impact the quality and performance of calibrated subsystems and feature classes of electronic subsystems.

Obtain input and negotiate with product and software development teams; deliver control system designs, verified and calibrated software features and builds to product teams.

Lead the development and improvement of work processes and systems across a functional discipline area within a business unit site.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.

Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.

Prior experience of telematics system is essential.

Extensive knowledge of J1939 and UDS protocols.

Proficient in engineering tools like CANalyzer and engineering dataloggers.
