Job Description

The Role:

The Senior Security Analytics Analyst role will be responsible for data collection, aggregation, analyzes, and assessment of critical security products and services.  Assist in developing analytical roadmaps for security products and services, partnering with engineering and infrastructure teams to advance security reporting capabilities for MetLife. Includes consulting with business and operations leaders, ensuring updated content for compliance management, project finance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics Responsibilities:

Proficient in programing languages (Python, M Language, DAX, etc.)
Strong skill set in integration of data sources into a central repository for advanced security data analytics
Build and create Analytics for MetLife’s Advance Cyber Threat Response programs: (i.e., Network Traffic)
Decrease FTE hours on manual data manipulation via automation (SMBv1, FireEye, Vulnerabilities)
Standardize data dictionary/definitions and usage models
Define standardized global security reporting model/framework
Maintain and enhance baseline security metrics and insights aligning with MetLife's security tools
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, global leadership, business, and IT team members, and vendor support team to promote successful reporting analytics of Security infrastructure projects and programs
Leads business intelligence and reporting for Security Operations
Provide thought leadership in root cause analysis and continuous service improvements

Strategic and Operational accountability for:

Enable effective and efficient remediation efforts by standardizing and centralizing data for improved accuracy and streamlined communication
A consistent and comprehensive view of MetLife's global security posture
Provide self-service actionable insights to remediation owners
Faster validation of remediation & continuous oversight of security posture

Reports to:  Tad Lemery AVP, Security Asset & Analytics

Key Stakeholders: GITO, ITRS, Internal & External Audit, Senior Management

Candidate Qualifications:

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

8+ Years of Experience in IT with at least 5+ years of experience in a large, global corporate environment, preferably the financial services industry
5+ year experience in building and developing Analytics and Reporting; different tools sets preferred
Strong Executive leadership skills, foster collaborative partnerships with the ability to influence and drive accountability across organizational, geographic, and domain boundaries
Exceptional knowledge of business management with a deep understanding of large scale, program, and project management concepts and multi-modal methodologies
Eagerness to learn new, updated practices and ability to apply them to various situations
Experience leading large, global matrix managed initiatives
Large corporate environment experience where coordination, collaboration, and communication across multiple organizations that require alignment, approvals, decision-making, and governance
