Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will provide administrative and general financial business support to assigned team specific to collections and credit ensuring that operations and internal and external customer needs are met.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Call and/or email builders on past due invoices
Research and resolve items such as short pays, missing checks, reasons for non-payment, back charges etc
Develop and keep good relationships with builders, team members, sales personnel and location personnel
Send Intent to Lien notices and file liens as needed
Periodically run credit on existing builders to ensure credit is in good standing
Assure SOX compliance
Process Credit Reports to determine credit worthiness
Approve or deny credit
Researches issues as needed.
Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent
1+ year’s office and/or clerical experience.
Basic data entry.
General computer competency is required, including a minimum of 1-year experience Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and billing software
Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekends hours may occasionally be required.
Equivalent experience can be substituted for education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Accounting – knowledge of debits and credits
Experience with the HVAC or Construction Industry
Experience with Accounts Receivable – especially collection procedures

Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other office equipment safely.

Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad.
Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools.
