Job Description

Summary:

Assists in areas financial reporting, general ledger close and other daily/monthly accounting processes.

Completes various account analyses.

Identifies, researches, and resolves items impacting the financial statements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

Research, analyze and provide account variance analysis.

Prepares monthly journal entries related to property, income, sales and VAT taxes.

Processes daily and monthly foreign currency translation and FX reporting.

Processes revenue recognition and revenue/cost cutoff accruals.

Provides financial/analytical support to various departments

Processes month-end accruals and month end balance sheet reconciliations.

Researches issues

Assists in the collection and dissemination of financial information

Develops complex ad hoc reports and financial analyses

Escalates issues noted to management in a timely manner

Identifies opportunities for process improvements

Ability to prepare clear and concise documentation

Performs additional duties as assigned

Meets attendance and punctuality standards.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelors Degree in finance/accounting or above required

CPA Preferred

Largely self-directed, able to seek out objectives and complete them with minimal management input.

Approximately 3 - 5 years experience in general ledger corporate accounting or public accounting.

Initiates projects and sets timelines and expectations.

Assigns duties and resources where necessary to achieve success.

Measures impact after implementation and adapts solution as necessary.

Applies broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues.

Defines strategic issues clearly despite ambiguity.

Makes sound, timely decisions. Balances strategic and tactical goals and objectives.

Understands corporate objectives at all levels of the organization.

Knowledge and application of Intermediate/Advanced Excel, Intermediate/Advanced Access (preferred), and Intermediate PowerPoint (preferred)

Mentoring and coaching Human Relation Skills required: Good communication skills, attention to detail, adaptable to change, displays accuracy and timeliness, financial and business acumen, high decision quality, professionalism, teamwork, able to maintain confidential information  

"Self starting" thinking required for analysis, evaluation, creating, reasoning, and drawing conclusions/solutions; HIGH complexity of mental process to achieve in the role in order to come to solutions.

Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
