Job Description

A High School diploma / GED (required).
8 or more years of applicable exempt work experience or equivalent non-exempt work experience, to include experience in electric transmission lines, electric distribution lines, and at least 5 years of successful performance in the Field Leader role or other comparable supervisory experience.
Technical knowledge in electric transmission and distribution lines gained either through a technical field of study and/or through related work experience. 
Working outside of normal work hours during storm or emergency restoration and responding to emergent needs anytime of the day, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Leadership experience.
Microsoft Office Applications.
SAP proficiency.
TOA proficiency.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Project Management experience or PMP Certification.
Utility or electrical contractor experience.
Previous experience managing a team.
Demonstrated skill in coaching and development of leaders.
LVD and HVD Switching and Tagging Training.
Ability to review HVD and LVD design packages.
Strong understanding of electric lines construction material.
Electric lines background; Familiarity with construction practices for lines construction, including line rebuilds, distribution underbuild, caisson foundations, and storm restoration.
Working Agreement knowledge and the ability to understand and administer the provisions of the working agreement.

In this role, you will:

Typically supervise 2-4 Electric Field Leaders, and/or lead the design or implementation of key operational projects impacting multiple locations.  May supervise other salaried employees or Contracted Field Leaders.
Execute the implementation of key operational projects or problem-solving initiatives.
Play a significant role in hiring and developing Electric Field Leaders.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
Demonstrated skill in application of quality systems.
Demonstrated capacity to direct company and non-company resources in both routine and non-routine/emergency operations.
Demonstrated ability to lead successful projects.
Thorough understanding of business drivers and operational priorities.
Demonstrated skill in transfer of knowledge and employee development.
Developing skill in budget management and financial acumen.
Candidate should have previous experience in the construction of HVD projects, be able to interpret construction drawings and understand HVD lines construction methods and equipment.
Must be able to complete complex tasks and be a team player with strong leadership skills to direct, motivate, and develop employees.
Understand precisely how to define the scope of the project, creating a "Request for Proposal (RFP)," defining the project schedule, coordinating internal and external resources, and overall project management.
Excellent communication skills are required to lead, plan, coordinate, and direct successful construction of our HVD and distribution lines in a safe and cost-effective manner.
A self-starter and must possess the ability to coordinate activities among internal and external groups.
Ensure compliance of all CE applicable safety requirements and regulations pertaining to work on HVD lines and required line conditions.
Support on-call requirements within the department’s rotation.
Ability to enter outage requests into Transmission Outage Application (TOA) program.
Manage crews in restoration activities during storms.
