Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads all Cleveland-Cliffs’ Talent Acquisition & Development initiatives including: Talent Acquisition programs, Performance Management and Development, Learning and Talent Development, and Workforce and Succession Planning programs.
Leads Cleveland-Cliffs’ associate professional development, training, and career progression to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, development and retention
Designs and administers the process for constructive and timely performance evaluations
Plans, leads, develops and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS)
Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes to upper management regarding policy, practice, and resources
Develops and implements departmental budget
Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into associate development program plans
Designs and develops HR training programs for management and associates
Makes assessments of training effectiveness in terms of employee accomplishments and performance
Consults with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
At least fifteen years of human resource management experience
Experience designing and implementing effective talent acquisition and development programs
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, preferred
