As an Accountant II, you will interpret and compile financial information for management decision-making under a moderate level of guidance and direction. Responsibilities/Expectations:
Collaborates cross functionally with company partners to assure accurate financial reporting information
Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports and analyses for internal/external customers
Compiles, organizes and analyzes reports/information associated with monthly management reporting and monthly variance explanations
Maintains accounting records and associated back-up documentation
Reconciles and analyzes ledger accounts and proposes adjusting entries, as needed
Provides information and explanations for audit requests from internal/external auditors
Communicates and coordinates with company partners
Works with significant amounts of detailed data
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two (2) years’ experience with preference in energy industry accounting
Preferred: CPA and minimum three (3) years’ experience in accounting in the oil and gas industry
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Available to work some overtime as the need arises during critical quarterly closings/reporting
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
Preferred: Revenue accounting, general accounting - JV billing, inventory accounting, property accounting, SEC financial reporting and regulated accounting
Preferred: Experience with Oracle and/or HFM
