Job Description

Position Summary

This position will be responsible to all aspects to the training project management lifecycle:  needs analysis, business case development, project discovery, design, development, change management, deployment, and sustainability of approximately 15 to 20 million dollars of training annually.  This position will require the successful candidate to act as a change agent for all departments within PPL and have superior working knowledge of training design and delivery, computer systems, Project Management, Change Management and excellent analytical and communication skills.  The ability to prioritize, manage and execute projects, tasks, and resources is a must.

Primary Responsibilities

1. This job requires expert level knowledge in three business areas: Training design/development, computer systems, and Project Management.  These skills combined are used to manage the execution of 250k plus hours of ongoing and new training annually.  Including the rollout, and change management of 20-50 large scale training projects each year.

2.  Develop long range training plans integrated into the budgeting process monitor ongoing training delivery costs.  Integrate new training projects into the existing budget and make adjustments to training delivery plans. As needed to support budget goals and work schedules constraints.

3.  Interface with planning and work management to identify long range training needs to support planned work and to integrate training delivery schedules to meet business goals.

4.  Coordinate and manage 50-100 training delivery professionals to develop or revise 100+ courses annually and deliver 30,000 unique training events to 2500 employees totaling 250k training hours annually. 

5.  Update and maintain learning management and support computer system as needed to ensure training is assigned to employees using good change management and consistent with evolving PPL policies procedures and work methods,  Establish and update reporting communication vehicles to ensure training sustainability.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Human Resources, Project Management, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience
Minimum 2 years experience with the design and delivery of training
