Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives a forklift or other PIT equipment during loading and unloading of trailers and or containers
Ability to read shipping orders and packing list information provided by vendor
Uses computer and computerized equipment such as scanners for accurate product placement
Utilize SAP to make movements of finished goods/components for inventory
Have all packing materials ready and available prior to pre-packing and staging of an order
Manually load containers/LTL shipments with a pallet jack or by hand as needed.
Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management
Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives as directed
Perform all other duties as assigned
All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Complete and pass required medical screening.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Strong organizations skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize a busy workload
Ability to follow and comply with all building safety rules and policies
Ability to read shipping orders and packing list information provided by vendor
Must be self-motivated and team oriented
Ability to read and write English
Ability to wrap product and label product quickly
Able to keep work area clean and organized
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit, stand, or walk up to 8 hours a day
Must be able to frequently carry (up to 30 feet each time) up to 60 lbs
Have full range of motion of the waist and neck
Have unrestricted use of upper extremities and preform over-head reaching
Frequently bend (to the floor), twist, and kneel
Ability to work in a non- temperature-controlled environment.
