KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes MRO requisitions for Jefferson & Franklin sites
Conduct spot buys and bids for MRO goods
Exercise a high degree of independent judgment to manage day-to-day vendor relationships
Identify and implement cost savings and avoidance opportunities without impacting quality
Initiate set up process for new vendors
Resolve blocked invoice issues
Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
Seek to become the expert and source of advice in area of assignment
Complete all procurement activities from start to finish through execution of Procure to Pay (P2P)
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Bachelors degree in supply chain preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience preferred.
Sustainability-focused mindset
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong interpersonal skills; able to forge and collaborate with internal customer/external supplier relationships.
Understanding of contracts and commercial terms
Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and logistics and basic understanding of supply chain management
Expertise in SAP and/or SAP-Ariba data processing systems preferred
Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization; Adaptive to change, uncertain circumstances, and embraces challenges
