The Department

Invesco’s Global Security Department brings together Information Security, Operational Resilience, Physical Security, Global Privacy Office, Business Security and Business Continuity, Strategy & Reporting under a single umbrella supported by Global Intelligence and Threat Analysis. This structure has supported a more comprehensive, broad approach to keeping Invesco clients, employees, and critical assets safe, upholding their privacy rights while enabling a secure and resilient business.

Your Role

Responsible for managing large programmatic initiatives, engaging regularly with senior partners, and mentoring/ supporting interns and project managers. The position will lead Steering Committee and Core/ Working Group meetings, planning and preparing agenda and content, and managing action items in addition to program deliverables. Offers consultative recommendations on program management, structure, communication planning, change management, and partner analysis. Programs will fall under the Global Security team and may include partners from other functions. Use knowledge of the GSD PMO methodology directly or indirectly through the use of expert consulting, supervise and ensure completion of achievements and deliverables on schedule. Strong task management, objectivity, expert facilitation, communication, interpersonal, and planning skills are required

You will be responsible for:

Facilitating and driving large-sized programs through the complete lifecycle (i.e., planning, governance, execution, closeout) with minimum supervision, while empowering program team members
Supporting leadership with oversight of PM’s, roadmaps, and portfolio budget
Proactively identifying and implementing process improvements and policies in close alignment with leadership
Partners with leadership to provide continuous training and development aligned with PMO standard methodologies
Engaging with key senior partners (Steering Committees and Executive forums) for the purpose of eliciting and sharing strategic roadmap, its management, and reporting.
Defining Program Roadmaps (e.g. strategic objectives, deliverables, and value) and validating alignment with business and system strategies.
Leading the team in the development of GSD program roadmap and underlying tasks using waterfall/Agile methodology, or a combination of both.
Facilitating the development of program budget and managing against approved amounts.
Securing and coordinating vital resources for a project by working with appropriate line managers, including any vendor or third-party resources.
Orderly closing-out of programs, including, but not limited to, conducting Sponsor Satisfaction Survey and ‘lessons learned’ as appropriate
Acting as an ambassador for Global Security priorities among other internal and external teams.
Providing recommendations and mentoring on program management methodology, including Agile practices and interaction models.
Ensuring smooth alignment with key business initiatives, embracing organizational/scope change quickly

The experience you bring:

Highly skilled and experienced in the creation of strategic roadmaps and underlying tactical plans
Expert user of Jira & Confluence
Experience and/or certification with Scaled Agile frameworks (such as SAFe/LeSS/DaD)
5+ years of Team Leadership experience with direct responsibility for performance, coaching & development.
Experience operating in a Scaled Agile environment, ideally having participated in the transition to Agile/ Scaled Agile.
Solid understanding of commonly used security tools and practices in the industry.
Proficient user of the Microsoft suite of products, including MS Teams, PowerBI, Microsoft Office.
A Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate or Graduate Caliber, or equivalent qualification is helpful
Formal project management training and/or qualification (i.e. PMI PMP certificate) required.
Formal Security training and/or qualification (i.e. CISSP, CISM) an asset.
