WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Were looking for an Apparel Technical Designer II to join the Jordan Global apparel team. In this role you will lead the technical fit, construction and execution of our apparel from concept to Buy Ready. If you want to work in a fast-paced environment and are skilled in pattern making & manipulation, construction expertise, digital prototyping and textile & print manipulation, this role is for you!

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will collaborate with the Jordan apparel product creation team, performing technical design responsibilities, coordinating fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles. You will also lead on time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.

A key part of your role is creating and revising Tech Packs for specific styles; ensuring all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specifications and prototype notes. You will create fit standards and construction guidelines for a category or product group to ensure consistency. You will handle and communicate progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements. This will include tracking and facilitating prototyping for styles; identifying and addressing key issues and challenges in construction / manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver quality and tested product.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will be reporting to the Tech Development Manager and partner closely with Design, Product Management, Merchandising, Product Creation Centers (PCC), Materials and Manufacturing, to effectively execute on product development & fit goal results.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

* Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science or related field OR two additional years experience in lieu of a degree
* 2 years' pattern making and apparel development experience
* Knowledge of the apparel development process from inception through production, including but not limited to pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, embroidery, materials and machinery
* Ability to write product specs and advanced construction instructions along with interpreting design intent and offering alternative solutions
* Ability to demonstrate high energy and positive influence with team and towards challenges
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to excel in a deadline driven environment.
* Strong problem solving and decision making skills with attention to detail and process orientation.
* Proficiency with MS Office programs and the ability to use Adobe Illustrator and CAD Pattern Design software. Experience with Optitex/Browzwear preferred.
* Ability to travel 10% including International travel
