Job Description

Basic Function

Located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouser role is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the receiving, warehousing and distribution of the warehouse operations.

Job Duties

Responds timely to customer demand as provided by Customer Service
Prepares and ships warehouse orders
Fills bulk trucks, totes, drums, pails and cases for order fulfillment
Address and solve mechanical issues, or at the very least communicates shortcomings to supervisor for remedial action
Inventory control and month-end reporting
Performs related activities in the areas of receiving, warehousing and distribution operations
Administer frequent inspection of tanks and equipment
Assists in Lubricants plant as needed and as business dictates
Operate equipment in a safe manner
Ensure compliance and inspections according to SWPP and SPCC plans
Ensure all required containment is in place (berms)
Ensure facility has adequate supply of safety and spill containment items.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and in good repair
Ensure facility is maintained in accordance to company policies, EPA and DOT requirements
Adhere to all company policies
Report status of facility to direct supervisor
Tend to appearance and cleanliness of the warehouse and grounds
Manage company software application, SAP, including purchase orders

Experience

0-6 months experience in industrial, manufacturing and/or warehouse setting.      

Education Level

High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Required Skills

Strong attention to detail and a high emphasis on safety.  Must be adaptable, reliable and motivated.  Must be able to operate with high-level of communication, independently.  Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word & Excel.  Class C Driver’s License required.  Class D license preferred but will allow this to be obtained upon hire.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Conditions

Office and petroleum plant environment based.  Subject to all weather conditions, including out of doors and varying road conditions. Occasionally exposed risk of electrical shock during the course of work.  Depending on assignment, may be exposed to close confined spaces.  A moderate amount of travel is required for this position.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, lifting or carrying and pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs., climbing up to 50 ft., reaching or grasping; required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and a respirator in emergency situations (beards are not permitted).
