Purpose and Scope:
As a member of the Protein National Accounts organization, this position exists to increase IP’s profitability, market share and competitive advantage. This position impacts the CTA’s ROI by developing design solutions that impact corrugator trim ability, converting machine efficiencies, and customer satisfaction. This position must work in cooperation with internal technical organizations, lead design organizations, sales, customer service, manufacturing, management and customers. This position will be based in the market/field and is not required to be based in Memphis, but preferably in the Midwest.
Key Accountabilities:
•Supports protein segment to achieve market share in key identified markets
•Works to improve profitability on current business to ensure success
•Utilizes creativity & technical expertise to bring comprehensive solutions to effectively ensure customer success
•Provides customers and sales with prototypes of designs to ensure acceptance of solution utilizing the CAD software and entire division design support organization to achieve end results
•Participates in developing customer relationships by utilizing creative and technical skills
•Customer facing—this position requires extensive travel to both customer & IP facilities as needed
Knowledge and Experience:
•8+ years corrugated box design experience
•4 years protein business and market knowledge
•Bachelor’s degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
•Thorough understanding of container facility and corrugated manufacturing processes
•Strong computer skills utilizing CAD software
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
•Quick turn-around ability; needs to be very responsive
