Job Description

In this role, you will have the following opportunities, but are not limited to:

Lead electrical efforts to develop the next generation hematology instruments using innovative technologies, developing schematics and FPGA code, preferably in VHDL.

Spearhead team efforts to design sophisticated products using a strong systems mindset including hardware, software, fluidics, reagents, biologics, leading closure of all technical gaps throughout ideation and development lifecycle.

Drive projects forward utilizing fast-prototyping and other iterative design methodologies, ensuring timelines and requirements are met.

Ensure robust/reliable product design that consistently meets all FDA/ISO/EN and other related standards.

Accelerate design cycles by identifying, engaging and managing external partners.

Create and present project technical reports to peers and management.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, MS preferred and 9+ years of relevant industry product development experience preferably in medical device or life science.

Proven ability to troubleshoot, develop, and improve electrical systems using analytical and statistical methods, and ECAD and simulation experience, preferably Allegro, PSpice and Matlab.

Guides and mentors associates to achieve associate growth and business objectives, while holding them accountable to milestones.

Direct participation in technical design reviews and FMEAs to identify critical design factors and risks that impact product performance

 Strong technical writing stills including procedure creation, and requirements and specifications development, both for internal designs and external contractors.

Proven ability to drive simultaneous projects through the design cycle to completion.
