Alcoa is looking for a Commercial Analyst to play the role of a Sales Trading Key-Account Representative and support Prime accounts in North America by optimizing the allocation and sales of Alcoa smelting production and buy activities. This professional will implement the business strategy as well as monitor possible arbitrage with other regions and current trade flows. The major customers of this role are third party consumers located throughout North America; and competitor companies will be suppliers as well as occasional customers.

Major activities:
Improve the margin through sales and efficient allocation of North America plants and metal purchased from third parties;
Support trading strategies in North America to optimize trading (sales and purchases) of primary metal;
Complete the strategy through contractual and spot negotiations;
Open new sales looking for new opportunities and increase the understanding and profitability in the region;
Develop, identify and perform on new business development efforts for new and small accounts;
Work alongside marketing team to align on supervising trade flows and developing forward looking views on regional premiums;
Handle customer relationships;
Support the delivery against plan and forecast targets for EBITDA and working capital;
Use our third-party trading book to generate working capital in line with the corporation goals by negotiating longer payment terms;
Align with customer service team to ensure all operational activities are in sync with commercial contracts;
Support the strategy and execution plan for growing Alcoa’s physical trading business;
Work closely with other departments to measure and analyze the performance of sales activities;
Maintain forecasts updated, have relevant explanations for any variations, and clearly share the margins reached in each transaction;
Understand about incomers, be able to implement commercial contracts and learn about risk management

MBA or equivalent specialization in commodity trading is a plus.

Experience in metals industry is preferred.
