Caterpillar currently has an opening for an Operations Team Member - Supply Chain supporting the Large Power Systems Division located at the Griffin, Georgia facility. The Griffin facility manufactures C27, C32 and 3400 series diesel and gas engines serving the following industries: electric power, oil & gas, marine applications, and Cat machines around the world.
The materials support position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, counts, verifying materials and shipments, accessing computers to update information, as well as point-to-point movement of materials in support of assembly operations. This also includes the general functions of shipping a finished product.
Job Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
Obtain, move, relocate, and input materials accurately to and from work areas
Use proper safety precautions delivering material and operating equipment.
Incumbent must be able to maintain a forklift license.
Equipment used includes various types of forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, brommel, battery chargers, computer, scales,
Shrink wrap, wrap, etc.
Completion of all OSHA and company required training
Basic Qualifications:
1 years of experience operating a stand-up or sit-down forklift
Basic skills operating a computer.
Previous Supply Chain experience.

Strong organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
Must be a self-starter who can work independently
Ability to troubleshoot issues by interacting with others
Previous experience with AMS (Assembly Material System), and MTS (Material Tracking System)
Familiarity with interpretation of Assembly Planning documentation
Physical Requirements:
Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast pace, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment
Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours.
All positions also require the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.

Starting hourly pay rate of $17.60
