Purpose of Job
Innovate, develop, and implement operational excellence across all areas of recruitment including processes, technology, training, compliance, and continuous improvement activities to enhance the candidate experience. Ensure Talent Acquisition is operating efficiently and effectively to meet USAA's organizational requirements and forecasted hiring demand. Lead operational efforts to ensure programmatic processes are in place to deliver future talent needs across the enterprise.
Job Requirements
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities
Leads the development and oversight of recruiting program strategy execution
Assesses business issues and develops executable plans to address program needs and/or drive the development of new recruiting programs and activities
Champions continuous process improvement, lean methodologies, and the identification and implementation of standard practices to enhance the recruiting process and overall candidate experience
Establishes strategic partnerships with outside vendors and consultants to incorporate and ensure adherence to industry best practices, trends, processes, and products and services into current staffing program strategies
Manages a team of individual contributors and people leaders to establish performance expectations and provide feedback, coaching, and career counseling
Leads the strategy of enterprise-wide recruitment programs and initiatives, using various channels to enable the hiring plan
Ensures recruiting programs are aligned with diversity attraction strategies and associated budgets
Oversees performance metrics and results to the effectiveness of recruiting solutions to guide shared understanding and continuous improvement around talent pipelines, funnel, and key performance indicators
Leads partnership internally with talent acquisition leaders to advance and optimize processes and daily operations to include utilization of resources, tools, and technology in alignment with service delivery metrics, methodologies, and procedures to achieve short- and long-term talent strategies
Plays a key role in annual operational planning, budget oversight, and strategic planning
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Minimum Experience:
10 years of progressive related experience developing and executing operational strategies including the full life cycle talent acquisition process (i.e., hiring plans and forecasting, recruiting, on-boarding, compensation, performance measurement, development, etc.)
4 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams
Demonstrated experience assessing enterprise-wide needs while developing and executing HR strategies, programs, and tools to achieve business objectives
Prior experience establishing talent market strategy for organizational trends, competitive intelligence, and benchmark industry practices\
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to devise and implement strategy for diversity and veteran attraction programs and events, college recruiting, and passive sourcing efforts
Demonstrated experience serving as the recruiting programs consultant across the enterprise, providing guidance, oversight, and communication on recruiting strategies
