The Enterprise Connectivity (EC) Business Operations team is a fast-paced, mission driven organization leading the business strategy and product definition of software and digital experiences. They are responsible for translating those strategic choices into tangible business propositions and representing the voice of the customer as we build distinctive, always-on connected vehicle technologies and services that transform the ownership experience.
Enterprise Connectivity (EC) is looking for Full-Stack developers that embrace Lean/Agile and Extreme Programming practices. In this environment, the Software Engineer is expected to work in a pair developing working, tested code across the full stack of technologies. They will collaborate directly and continuously with product managers and designers, and business partners to release early and often.
What you’ll be able to do:
Develops application software using cloud-based architecture across a full stack of technologies utilized by a balanced team
Consults with product manager to identify minimal viable product and decompose feature set into small, scoped user stories
Pairs with other software engineers to cooperatively deliver user stories
Solve complex technical problems using industry's best practices
Uses the test-driven development methodology to realize the technical solution
Java and Kotlin web development (heavy emphasis)
Spring Framework development
Front end development using JavaScript
The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2+ years’ experience with Spring
2+ years’ experience with building microservices
Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (i.e. Jenkins/Tekton)
Experience breaking a monolith service into microservices.
Our preferred requirements:
Experience developing hobby software applications
Experience contributing and using open-source software
Experience designing and developing REST APIs
Experience with software development tools (backlog management, source code management, automated and unit test management, CI/CD, etc)
Effective communication skills and ability to think beyond baseline requirements and be customer focused

Ford introduced methods for large-scale manufacturing of cars and large-scale management of an industrial workforce using elaborately engineered manufacturing sequences typified by moving assembly lines; by 1914, these methods were known around the world as Fordism.
