Job Description


A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Plans, directs and implements engineering aspects of support to manufacturing operations, including process and equipment readiness.
Leads engineering teams through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for the areas under responsibility.
Oversees investigations for product quality and/ or process controls for the areas under responsibility.
Partners with support functions to ensure manufacturing engineering priorities are addressed appropriately to meet business metrics accomplishments.
Sits on leadership boards and/ or committees for product quality and compliance for the areas under responsibility.
Plans, directs and implements process and automation projects to improve equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for elements like uptime, yield, and cycle time.
Plans, directs and implements projects to improve equipment and process service level (uptime, yield, productivity, and cycle time).
Reports progress on Management review forums for equipment and process performance for areas under responsibility.
Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing engineering function.
Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.
May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation on an automated environment of the function.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
 

Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience


Nice to Have

Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree are preferred.
Knowledge on the electro-chemistry domain is preferred.
Knowledge on the manufacturing of products for Diabetes disease treatment or management is preferred.
Lean Mfg. and/or 6 Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience leading Engineering teams.
