Under the direction of the Manager, the incumbent performs service work on various automation equipment to include but is not limited to: positioners, turning rolls, manipulators and AGW’s and associated equipment.  Additional duties are:  performs component upgrades, loading and unloading of equipment, refurbishing of said equipment, all performed in a timely and safe manner.  


We are looking for a Weld Automation Service Technician who:
?    Ensures a safe work environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.
?    Troubleshoots welding automation equipment with mechanical and electrical issues.
?    Has both electrical and mechanical experience.
?    Ensures machines are tested, calibrated and run according to manufacturer’s specifications.
?    Ensures proper service documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
?    Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment by ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed both at RDA and customer facilities.
?    Ability to attend a minimum of 2 weeks of company paid training per year focused on advancing the technicians ability to serve our customer base.
?    Communicates well internally with all branch personnel and as part of a team environment.
?    Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
?    Post secondary education equivalent to a two year Technical College in electronics is required. 
?    Three years of related experience.
?    Strong computing skills are an asset.
?    A strong desire to learn and advance in a high paced and technical field.
?    Working knowledge of welding and cutting equipment and processes are an asset.
