Job Summary 

This position will play a critical leadership role in the finance and accounting function supporting the Company’s strategic priorities.  A successful candidate will leverage a strong accounting background, business experience and the ability to collaborate, to drive the Company’s objectives forward.  This role will provide leadership in the areas of technical accounting, providing accounting support in response to strategic business developments, the modernization of internal controls and the standardization of core finance processes.  This role reports to Harley-Davidson’s Chief Accounting Officer.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Primary individual responsible for complex accounting matters, global accounting policies and the adoption of new accounting standards
Lead accounting analysis and assist with the design and implementation of leading processes and controls in response to new business developments, including the establishment of the company’s electric vehicle division
Lead the accounting analysis and implementation of complex accounting matters for the supply chain, product development and commercial finance functions to facilitate US GAAP compliance and standard accounting process
Collaborate with the external auditors on the annual integrated audit and internal auditors on management’s annual internal controls assessment.
Lead the modernization of the internal control and SOX compliance management program
 

 

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree Required

 

Experience Requirements

CPA Required
10+ years of Big 4 or combined Big 4 and public company experience. Public Accounting experience is required.
Advanced understanding of US GAAP and core accounting concepts with experience in their application to complex contractual and transactional arrangements
Manager or higher experience auditing public company financial statements and internal controls over financial reporting
A high level of integrity, excellent judgment and analytical skills, and the ability to identify issues relevant Harley-Davidson, Inc. its operations and plans for growth
Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
An ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
