Job Description

Responsibilities:  

Develop and lead innovative go-to-market strategies, and products for greater revenue, increased profitability, and margin with a specific focus on driving topline growth and new bookings.  

Manage the P&L for the Global Retail Professional Software Development Team, ensuring financial objectives are achieved and expenses are within budget.  

Lead the transformation of a world-class services organization in collaboration with other NCR leaders to design, develop and deploy a portfolio of scalable services solutions to open new commercial channels.  

Provide leadership in developing service offerings, with compelling value proposition and overseeing effective and differentiated execution  

Improve software development processes through innovate development practices such as Agile, Scrum, BSP and API development tied to velocity & quality KPIs

Lead and manage teams of Services Professionals responsible for scoping, designing, and implementing products. Continuously improve processes and methodologies to keep in line with cutting edge technology driven by the Software Engineering Group and within the industry

Build and grow relationships with top accounts and other key customers. Work closely with other senior leaders to further develop our partner and alliance relationships

Identify and capitalize on opportunities to sell services to existing and potential clients

Drive high expectations for sales forecasting and deal management across the team

Build and grow relationships with clients through high-quality, value-based service and delivery, as evidenced by the successful completion of projects for customers that achieve customers’ goals and expectations

Interface and align with sales, product management and marketing teams on the timing and approach for product and associated market relevant service offering launches

Ensure that customer expectations are aligned with scoped deliverables prior to the initiation of all engagements

Build, grow, and mentor geographically dispersed team members. Provide an environment of inclusion where employees deliver significant value and can develop professionally. Guide the team’s learning in conjunction with the strategy and direction of the NCR product and services businesses.  

 

 

Qualifications:  

15+ years of experience within a services business of a global, matrixed software technology organization 

10+ years managing a software development organization leveraging latest technologies, tools, and development methodologies 

Demonstrated success managing a P&L that has seen measurable growth

Must have a solid understanding of how software and services are used to solve business problems in a product company and how cloud technologies are shifting the IT landscape

A strong commercial track record is required in Professional Services or supporting a professional services organization in delivering quality products to build out an end to end solution

Experience transforming and enabling services organizations and partners to move from a single-product focus to a multi-product and solution-oriented approach

Experience translating concepts, summarizing and communicating complex ideas, and clearly articulating business value with a strong sense of how customers and partners think, operate, and deliver end-user value

Proven track record of successfully attracting, developing, and leading world-class teams and driving success globally

Extensive experience leading solution delivery is required. Must be able to maintain and enhance senior relationships with large enterprise customers

Track record of success working in and influencing a fast-paced, matrixed, multi-unit organization at all levels, being persuasive and effective even where no direct reporting relationship exists. Able to challenge a team while holding individuals accountable for the commitments

Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or advanced degree highly desirable
