Objective/Key Responsibilities:
Supervises up to 50 Associates.
Achieves continual process improvement. Focus on accuracy, expense management, and order processing schedule, throughput / flow management and Representative value proposition.
Differentiates performance. Coaches, trains and mentors staff in an effort to continuously improve the effectiveness of the workforce. Utilizes recognition and performance management to reinforce and affect behavior.
Developing Associates, mentoring, and providing career coaching; motivating your staff, individually and as a group; understanding and supporting diversity, and creating an effective team.
Writes and administers annual Associate performance evaluations. Conducts regular career development and performance conversations.
Monitors and tracks labor productivity and key performance indicators. Improves performance verses prior year and plan objectives.
Strong knowledge of Warehouse Control/Order Management system. Utilizes WCS to eliminates non-value-added activities and inefficiencies.
Promotes safety. Protects the health and welfare of Company Associates.
Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY/INFORMATION: Indicate the volume of responsibilities of the position (e.g. Budget 5MM, Inventory 1MM, supports a population of 200 – 500 associates)
Position responsibility for managing up to 50 non-exempt associates.
May supervise minimal number of exempt associates.
Manages labor budget up to $1MM.
LATITUDE / IMPACT OF ACTION: The level of influence and potential for contribution to the success of the business.
Direct responsibility for achieving facility goals and objectives related to service and quality.
Direct “hands-on” involvement and leadership are instrumental in the daily management of associates and order management.
COMMUNICATION
Internal: Effectively communicates with direct reports, local management, and other Avon matrix teams such as Quality, Materials Management, and Field (Sales) Operations.
External: Communication with peers at other Avon facilities. Interacts with vendors and third party affiliates.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education Required:
Bachelor of Science/Arts degree required; Concentration in a Technical Discipline (Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations Management) desired.
Associates are expected to continually expand on their personal operational and supply chain knowledge via internal core skills training, professional affiliations, workshops and industry forums.
Previous experience, specialized training, knowledge & skills needed to perform this position:
One to three years of related supply chain operations experience or equivalent internship experience.
One to three years supervisor experience or equivalent internship experience.
Thorough understanding of policies and procedures relative to customer service. APICS certification recommended.
Demonstrated leadership of light industrial workforce.
Experience with process improvement and driving change.
Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Ability to design analytical tools, project plans and process diagrams.
Exceptional ability to analyze, forecast and makes well-supported recommendations.
Prioritizes customer satisfaction. Displays a sense of urgency when responding to Representative concerns.
Promotes teamwork and works effectively within diversified teams.
Acquires knowledge of functional operations (order flow, 5S, quality, finance).
Works at a fast pace in a rapidly changing business environment.
Experience in communicating and addressing issues to senior management.
Career development and operational understanding will require Operations Supervisors to move laterally between multiple order fulfillment and distribution supply chain positions.
Must have the ability to relocate for future career opportunities.
