About the job
This role supports Worldwide Facilities Protective Services Emergency Services team. This person will be directly responsible for the coordination of maintenance, inspection, and testing as well as following the TI fire protection maintenance strategy. The individual will coordinate with corporate fire protection personnel and specified risk management consultants for guidance on fire alarm system installations, modifications, impairments and restorations.
Qualifications
Essential Duties:
Complete Fire Alarm System repairs and maintenance
Perform annual, semi-annual and quarterly fire alarm system inspections and testing for manufacturing buildings
Support all fire system owners with fire alarm issues, activities, events
Compile and distribute detailed annual inspection reports
Interface with the local AHJ with annual bldg and specific project inspections
Lead in scheduling work and projects
Maintain reliable fire alarm systems in North Texas
Support 3 rd party programmer with ensuring proper protocols adhered to and QC of work
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
Instruct and train customers on functional operation of the equipment/system
Commissioning new and existing fire alarm systems with local, and government agencies
Building / Site Fire Protection System Owner Backup
TI, WWF, WWPS, and Emergency Services business priorities, policy deployment objectives and strategic focus areas, including implementing the 5S Process into all daily activities and processes.
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
7 years as an active fire alarm technician and leading subordinate technicians
7 years’ experience with Microsoft office-Excel/Word/Power Point
Possess current FAL/APS
Experience and expertise with Simplex 4100 , 4100U, and 4100ES platforms
Experience and expertise with all types of VESDA detectors, ASPIRE design software, and VSC-Factory training is a plus
Experience and expertise with EST3 platforms
Working knowledge of NFPA-72, 70, 101 and other applicable codes and standards that apply to the Fire Protection industry.
Detailed knowledge of troubleshooting methods and in-depth multi-meter knowledge, hand tools and test equipment
Nicet certification(s) are a plus
Suppression and sprinkler system knowledge are a plus

While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally works outside, with potential exposure to wet, humid, hot, and inclement weather conditions. The employee may also be exposed to heights, temperature extremes, loud noises, limited visibility, hazardous materials, and moving mechanical parts.
