Job Description

As Head of IT APS DEV, your role will be to enable Siemens to outperform competitors with Digital Business growth and profitability providing API & Software Platforms and Services. 

You will do so by providing Development Tool Chain, providing Development Guidelines, building Lighthouse software Development Application, enabling packaged business capabilities and improving User Experience (UX) within APS Teams. You will also drive Global Initiatives to enable reuse of APIs and Code, drive OpenSource Approach in Siemens and bring outside view in, thus enabling scalable digital services for packaged business capabilities in all Siemens Business.

Using your expertise, you will be responsible for Developer Enablement Services: 

Shape Software Development Strategy jointly with Siemens Units and Enterprise Architecture and APS Frameworks
Provide scalable and secure state of the Art DevOps Tool Chain enabling CI/CD  
Develop User Experience Framework and Templates to improve User Experience in Siemens Software
Initiate and Guide Developer communities to reach best User Experience and scalable and reusable Software in all Siemens Software development projects    
Guide Siemens Units to develop reusable and scalable APIs jointly with APS API Team 
Build a Siemens wide Market places Code-Store to share and reuse software code   
Guide Siemens Units to develop secure Software as APIs enabling CI/CD along the entire Lifecyle of those Products
Guide Communities to adapt Citizen Approach and DevOps   
Publish Developer Guidelines and Frameworks for API Design and Development jointly with APSFrameworks Team  
Drive and Build lighthouse projects on top of APS Platforms increasing degree of reusability    
Drive and Develop Technical UX Frameworks   
Promote API and OpenSource Thinking  

 What you need to make real what matters. 

Overall 10+ years of experience in a complex environment, working with multinational teams across the world
Many years of experience with building and managing emerging technologies such as API Management and Low Code platforms
Very good cloud knowledge of tech stack of major Hyperscaler & Open Source Providers like Microsoft, Gitlab etc. 
Agile Development Experience  
Experience in Opensource Development Approach
Active in Opensource communities
Experience within Opensource Development Projects with proven references
Open minded and strong communications skills  
Cloud Expertise with Major Hyperscalers
Working in a DevOps Environment and familiarly with DevOps Frameworks  
Solution Architecture & Enterprise Architecture experience  
Business Domain Knowledge, IoT, Production, Automation, etc..
