ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job Requirements:

Supervisor responsibilities include:

•    Supervises the Technicians and Craftsmen within area of responsibility
•    Knows and follows all safety and environmental rules/regulations that affect the work area, adhering to all job expectations and both company and department policies and procedures.
•    Perform weekly field audits 
•    Responsible for personnel development for direct reports
•    Leads a high-quality start of day meeting that clearly communicates expected safety and job performance behaviors and results.
•    Promotes teamwork and collaboration by spending time in the workplace interacting with team members.
•    Develops relationships to promote teamwork between organizations.
•    Spend some portion of their day in the work area or in the field coaching/supporting their employees. 
•    Ensure that the planner is protected from getting caught up in today’s activities or in work outside of their core role of planning future work. 

I&E Maintenance, Power Distribution, and Maintenance Services Execution responsibilities also include but are not limited to the following:

•    Manages I&E, Electrical Power Distribution, Analyzer and DCS support as well as general maintenance services for the site (HVAC, Plumbing, etc).
•    Serve as the primary contact for execution forces to ensure clear understanding of work/jobs.
•    Ensure operations is informed of scheduled work to be performed by execution forces and communicate special preparations.
•    Ensure the priority of work is understood by execution forces for planned and break in work.
•    Help Technicians and Craftsmen eliminate roadblocks such as permit delays, tool failure, unexpected problems, and questions. 
•    Proactively communicate changes in the schedule to the impacted groups’ primary contacts.
•    Collaborate daily with Planner and contractor schedulers to develop a rough draft of the next day’s schedule prior to daily meetings.
•    Attend weekly planning meeting to make sure the planners are engaged and getting a list of jobs they should be planning for the following week’s schedule. 
•    Participate in routine daily and weekly scheduling meetings with execution forces to review current work status, planned work and set priorities for the following day’s work.
•    Monitor spending to meet the department budget.
•    Monitor the status of Preventative Maintenance programs and coordinate work, as required, to support the compliance with these programs.  
•    Maintain a turnaround work list by identifying work which can only be executed during a plant turnaround and ensuring it is properly documented.
•    Review weekly schedule and make sure estimated hours are appropriate for the specific task.  Challenge where the estimate seems soft.  Provide feedback to the planner if hours need to be adjusted

Routine Reporting responsibilities also include but are not limited to the following:

•    Monthly analysis of workflow metrics for deviations with recommendations for resolution
•    Monthly status reports on improvement efforts being led or coordinated by this position

Prerequisites for this position are that the Maintenance Electrical Team Manager must have been trained in or have a good working knowledge of:

•    Electrical Journeyman designation or NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation Certification
•    High School Diploma/GED required; college preferred
•    At least 10 years of industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation field preferred
•    Leadership experience preferred
