Primary Job Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Serve as the face of Assurant to outside vendors and auditors for the regulatory compliance programs.
Signature for the regulatory programs for the Federal, State and local governmental agencies.
Provide verbal and written audit/inspection results.
Map out employed Q/EHS/R2 process flows and identify potential process and workflow improvements.
Plan and, in conjunction with the Regulatory Compliance Team, perform internal Q/EHS/R2 audit work in accordance with developed ISO & Company standards.
Ensure adherence to company policies and process standards, while maintaining employee morale and overseeing the training of new and existing staff.
Work with management to establish department and company goals, and rely on experience, judgment and innovation to achieve them.
Create and utilize reports to accurately represent audit task completion rates and percentages.
Liaison between teams, shifts, and departments, and partner with vendor/customer/client representatives.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment for personnel to work in while ensuring all safety and environmental regulations are followed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years quality or regulatory compliance supervisory experience
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership/supervisory role supervising up to 15+ associates
Certified as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, and/or
Certified as a Lead Auditor for ISO 14001:2015, and/or
Certified as a Lead Auditor for OHSAS 18001:2007, and/or
Certified as a Lead Auditor for R2:2013.
Capable of performing research on topics in all areas of reference (OSHA, DOT, Regulatory Standards, Federal Register, etc.)
Exceptional knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, data graphing, statistics, presentations, effective procedures, flowcharts, and inspection standards.
Occasional: Bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, exposure to changes in temperature, being near moving machinery, and office machinery
This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone
Employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry and/or move up to 35 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Must be able to speak and hear

Other Requirements:
Demonstrate ability to perform internal audits and maintain audit schedules
Strong PC skills (spreadsheets, databases, etc.) and familiarity with label printers
The ability to work independently with little supervision and in a team environment.
The ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel as well as external personnel.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
ASQ certifications as a CQA, CQM, or CQE
Certified as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, and R2:2013
Familiarity with 5 6S, Lean, Six Sigma, and Quality System Gap Analysis techniques with the ability to apply same in a practical, effective fashion.
Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements
Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong math, reasoning, analysis and decision making skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills in a teamwork setting
Has previously been the lead auditee during an ISO registration process
Has previously led ISO Management Reviews
