This job contributes to Starbucks success by planning, performing, driving the production and reporting of audits of financial data and processes to verify compliance with established standards and controls, and to identify process improvement opportunities. As a SOX AAM internal auditor, you will…

•    Perform and lead SOX audit procedures, including conducting walkthroughs, analyze audit evidence, execute on controls testing, review controls testing, identify and define issues, and document client processes and procedures, under the direction of the SOX Program Lead.
•    Act as a subject matter expert and provide clear and consistent interpretation and guidance.
•    Identify and communicate SOX audit findings with key business partners.
•    Support creation of status reports and planning materials and assist with overall SOX program management.
•    As assigned, follow up on audit issue progress:
o    Test, create & save sufficient validation testing details.  
o    Document results per IA follow up requirements. 
o    Coordinate / communicate status within IA and with the business.
•    Support and perform testing for the 302 Certification Process
•    Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders for the SOX Assurance Program
•    Deal successfully with ambiguity, managing multiple priorities and achieve results during times of complex changes. 
•    Support the development of the team by providing training and coaching, reviewing the work of others, and helping to prioritize work.
•    Drive continuous process improvements.

•    Proficiency with ERP systems, including Hyperion, Oracle, and SAP
•    Ability to interact with senior management and communicate at all levels of the organization
•    Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•    Experience in public accounting, financial reporting, internal audit, forensic accounting, information systems or loss prevention
•    Advanced degrees or professional certification in one or more of the following is encouraged but not required: CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE
