Position Summary:
Lear is one of the most recognized and successful names in the Automotive Industry. The Materials Supervisor is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Materials Supervisor, under limited supervision, directs and controls material flow for the plant. Supervises the activities of all hourly material handlers engaged in the movement of raw or finished materials.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Supervise material handlers to ensure shipping and receiving functions are met and meet customer expectation.
Work with Material Planner/Specialist to ensure cycle counts are completed.
Responsible for subordinate safety compliance and training; functions as role model relative to safety and especially with regarding to forklift safety.
Ensure product is shipped properly and timelythe work order report is up-dated in a proper time frame so as not to impede the production or business process.
Ensure that the Monthly Dow Consignment paperwork (reconciling for material usage) is completed with conjunctions with corporate required timing.
Facilitate monthly physical inventories.
Provide for the proper handling of obsolescence claims to Coperate materials.
Verify the perpetual inventory vs. physical inventory for the plant.
Full participation in quality system compliance/ audit with emphasis on elements 4.7, 4.8, and 4.15.
Responsible for the use of the WEDIT system for Dow related shipments
Facilitate inventory audits by independent accounting firms.
Establish continuous improvement efforts to ensure 100% delivery Performance for external and internal customers.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
