Manufacturing Technician II for Dublin, CA
The manufacturing Technician provides and supports manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes to production to ensure products are assembled in an efficient manner, meeting customer quality and expectations and on-time delivery specifications.
Responsibilities:
• Performs multiple testing procedures on medical equipment including Hipot, Electrical Safety, Leakage Current, Auto-Tapping, System Stress, Functionality Testing (Modular and System level), as well as Final Configuration.
• Utilizes instruments such as Omnia tester’s, power supplies, adaptor boxes, thermoelectric recirculating chillers, pressure gauges, flow meters, USB blasters, compressors, transformers, and various test fixtures.
• Use various test software (including Autoware) which monitors and records voltage fluctuations, fluid temps, modem tests, LED tests, heat loads, card authentications, and drivers.
• Work with parts such as software sticks, LED modules, antenna’s, solenoids, grommets, screws, gaskets, cable ties, plugs, magnets, fans, cables, wires, tubing, alligator clips, and ESD wrist straps.
• Familiarity with AC, PCB, and PCBA boards
• Visually analyze computer data to determine abnormalities in testing process.
• Familiarity with Ohm’s Law which contributes to a full understanding of electrical properties in order to safely perform tests that use hazardous voltages and currents.
• Troubleshoots testing problems when needed, work with leadership on training and process improvements
• Communicates problems to Senior Technicians, Engineers, or Supervisor.
• Assists in the testing and qualification for new equipment, materials, and processes
• Assists in performing experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis
• Recommends additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for the product debug areas
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities
• Complies and follows all company security policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally.
• Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
