Job Description
Overview
As a Production Support Developer, you will work as part of the GTS Market Access Technology team supporting trading operations for our global trading environment. This position will require a highly technical individual to work on supporting, automating, testing, debugging, documenting, and developing applications and scripts required for the business.
Responsibilities
Oversee and support GTS’ global trading environments
Monitor trading applications and associated systems, report issues, and resolve issues
Develop tools and operational procedures to improve overall risk/trading monitoring
Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by way of code debugging or log analysis
Learn and troubleshoot/support proprietary technologies
Communicate and collaborate with development team on deployments, issue tracking, and debugging issues
Manage trade exceptions (errors, corrections, etc.) and reconciliations, monitor the front-to-back trade lifecycle within our systems
Create automated controls that eliminate the potential for operational issues
Qualifications
2+ years of demonstrated experience operating in a Linux environment
2+ years of demonstrated experience using SQL for sophisticated database queries
Strong Python coding skills
Ability to problem solve in a development or production environment, including experience observing patterns, analyzing root cause and suggesting ideas to resolve issues
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of securities markets, market verticals and exposure to industry regulations
Experience with full trade life cycle, post trade reconciliation, and compliance
Experience with trading applications, FIX, exchange protocols is a PLUS
