Job Description

What you’ll do:

Oversee and advance projects during the development phase, through construction and Project Closeout to Handover to O&M/Asset Management
Create, maintain, and manage each project’s Project Execution Plan
Manage multiple construction and pre-construction projects simultaneously
Conduct weekly meetings including design reviews, coordination with the local utility operators, site coordination and project updates
Track contractual requirements and deliverables for all project contracts including off-take agreements, interconnection agreements, EPC agreements, financing agreements, road use agreements and others
Prepare weekly and monthly reports
Manage EPC contracts, invoices, change order requests, submittals and RFI’s
Manage the procurement of Owner-provided Major Equipment and associated supply agreements
Assist with pre-construction activities
Assist in the creation of bid packages bid evaluations, SOW creation, contract negotiations, and execution, prepare cost forecast reports
Support project financing activities including answering investor and Independent Engineer technical and construction diligence questions
Assist with the management of the project schedule and schedule updates.
Assist with developing and implementing the inspection, testing, and commissioning plans
Manage the interconnection process, Project Close-Out Plan and Handover to Operations and Asset Management
Assist with the development and implementation of the document controls processes
Build, foster, and maintain a collaborative working environment within the Project Team
Coordinate and collaborate with and facilitate communications with all internal and external project stakeholders
Carry out other duties as assigned

 

What you bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 7 years total experience in construction management of large, complex projects, including training and/or certifications
Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably constructing solar or complex construction projects
PMP is strongly preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
Hands-on experience with tools and equipment
Leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead and adapt in a demanding, ever-changing environment
Ability to work with a collaborative approach to getting the work done

 

Additional Information/Conditions:

Physical ability to conduct regular site walks
Must hold a valid driver’s license
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to use a personal computer, calculator, etc.
Could involve some lifting
