Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time/Days
You will be responsible for:
* Performs electroencephalogram and evoked potential studies.
* Records, processes, files and charges (as applicable) daily pertinent data relative to job duties.
* Assures reports and recordings are available to the physicians at all times.
* Calibrates and establishes standards for laboratory quality control normals.
* Responsible for making sure Sleep Labs are setup and ready for patients.
Qualifications
What you will need:
* High school diploma or equivalent with appropriate technical training.
* Knowledge of EEG equipment and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
* Basic Life Support
* Experience in a medical setting performing EEG and/or Electroencephalographic certification required.
Job Summary:
The EEG Technologist will deliver safe and effective patient care as defined by AdventHealth's mission, vision, and core values, and is consistent with the standards of care for this discipline. The position requires the EEG Technologist to be proficient in performing neurodiagnostic studies in accordance with approved policies and procedures of the Neurodiagnostic Department. The EEG Technologist II is under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Manager and the Cardiopulmonary Medical and Administrative Director and supervises EEG Technologist Tech I. This position also requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relating to the field of Cardiopulmonary and Neurology.
