You will build innovative automated solutions and tools to help debug and resolve problems in production and prevent them from recurring. Further, you will proactively seek out system weaknesses and find ways to fix them before they cause production issues using monitoring data, watching trends, and using Chaos Engineering.

What’s the role?

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is accountable for the following responsibilities (including but not limited to)

Build and scale the technology infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand.

Collaborate with Development and QA to launch new features and services.

Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues.

Automate deployment, monitoring, management, and incident response.

Develop and improve operational practices and procedures.

Build a resilient, secure, and efficient cloud-based platform.

Manage cross-functional requirements working with various company stakeholders.

Drive and champion the Site Reliability culture

Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.

Lead the development and automation of the CI/CD pipeline.

Lead Engineers and motivate to maintaining their services by measuring and monitoring service level objectives and indicators.

Be the driving force for correct incident response and blameless postmortems within Product Development.

Develop a software platforms and framework for maintenance and review of dashboards, alerts, capacity planning and deployment readiness checklists.

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience with software engineering, software development, or system operations

Three (3) years of SQL, PowerShell, C, C#, or Bash programming experience

Three (3) years of Linux hands on system experience

Bachelor's Degree related to Information Technology preferred

Software Engineering knowledge and experience in testing, deploying, and supporting large scale services on Azure, AWS or similar environments

Experience programming in one of the following languages: Python, Go, Perl, Ruby or Rust

Understands networking and messaging, especially between services

Has hands-on experience using source control (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and feature branching strategies

Has experience with a variety of open-source databases (Postgres, Redis etc.)

Expertise in working with container deployment and orchestration technologies at scale with knowledge of fundamentals including service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, load balancing. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Go and Docker preferred.

Experience Elastic Stack Istio, HashiCorp vault, Prometheus, Grafana

Proven track record of automating processes and auto Heal work

Experience with monitoring and observability such as with Datadog, Sensu, New Relic, and Nagios

Experience automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools like Terraform, Helm and can explain the Infrastructure as Code paradigm

Experience with configuration management

Understands the idea behind Chaos Engineering
