Job Description

Here's how a Pile Driving Operator for our Denver District Shakes Project in Carrizo Springs, Texas contributes to our team:

Operates a PD10, Gayk, Orteco and/or other manufacturers to drive production piles
Assists Foreman in installation of various pile types, maintenance, and greasing of pile equipment
Checks work along the way to ensure adherence to project specific code and specifications
Uses levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure materials are plumb, level and secure
Measures height, width, length, and other proportions
Ability to work in a production environment where daily production goals are set, evaluated and optimized
Ability to work with double hearing protection, including ear plugs and earmuffs
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Reports to work on time, ready to work safely and learn
Is a team player and willing to learn and be coached by the foreman
Works closely with crew and assist with all phases of pile installation on a solar project

What you will bring to the role:

Must be 18 year of age or older
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in solar construction
Previous experience operating a PD10, Gayk, Orteco and/or other manufacturer required
Knowledgeable in multiple pile installation techniques and hammer types
Experience in rigging and crane signaling
Familiar with various types/sizes of cranes and configurations
Proven commitment safety and teamwork
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
Familiar with field concepts, practices, and procedures
Knowledge and use of hand and power tools
High regard for safety and pride for quality of work
Self-motivated and team player
Ability to multi-task, show initiative and ask questions as needed
Ability to follow directions ensuring completion of daily tasks
Must have reliable transportation
Ability to consistently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, from the ground to waist level
