We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the daily, safe, efficient and effective operations of all plant equipment and machinery in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
Examine, test, maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment to assure safe and efficient operations
Actively participate in safety programs and committees, supporting and maintaining a safe work environment
Inspect, maintain and repair cooling and heating systems
Repair and install pipes, fittings, fixtures and other plumbing duties as required
Maintain and repair pumps, valves and motors as required by management
Records and logs maintenance repairs and inspections
Follow good housekeeping practices for maintenance: washing, cleaning, maintaining tools and other equipment
Assist in snow and ice removal from company sidewalks and driveways
Operate forklifts and company vehicle as required
Maintain and trouble-shoot equipment to enhance their operation
Understand and communicate technical information through use of written, oral documentation
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Electrical knowledge ranging from 110 Volts of power to 480 Volts (3 phase)
Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment such as break presses, punch presses and other similar equipment
Maintain a valid driver license
Work daily shift, weekends and extended hours as necessary
Assist other work related areas as requested
Desired Characteristics:
2 year degree in industrial technology or 3-5 years’ experience related to industrial electrical, industrial welding or industrial plumbing preferred
