BROAD FUNCTION:
Responsible for providing accounting services to agencies supported by Shared Services. This includes inter-company, account reconciliations, journal entry postings and ad hoc requests on the Vantage general ledger system. Assist in other areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare variance analysis / commentaries
Prepare and process journal entries for areas of responsibility
Prepare account reconciliations and analysis ensuring balances are properly stated
Resolve intercompany out of balances within given deadlines
Prepare monthly and quarterly closing schedules required for consolidation reporting
Prepare month-end and year-end reporting for agencies supported by Shared Services
Assist internal and external personnel with questions relating to systems and processes maintained by Shared Services. (Vantage)
Ensure audit compliance on all transactions and assist with audit requests
Regular and reliable attendance required
Ability to work onsite in an office environment with limited remote work alternatives, consistent with applicable law
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree or working toward a degree
One year of related accounting experience preferred
Ability to interface well with other internal departments and outside customers
Excel spreadsheet skills required (advanced excel skills such as macros a plus)
Good organizational skills and ability to work as a member of a team
