Job Overview
This role will report to the VP, Tax Planning and be focused on worldwide tax planning for the company and provide advice on the tax consequences of transactions to Brand tax teams and Booking Holdings personnel.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in identifying, developing and implementing tax planning strategies in connection with corporate/business objectives and projects
Partner with all Brands to understand the business footprint, and coordinate with Brand tax teams to provide corporate tax support on transactions and ensure consistent positions across Brands on similar tax issues (such as digital service taxes)
Monitor and analyze federal, state and foreign legislative, regulatory and judicial developments, and assist in modeling the relevant tax impacts to the company, including GILTI, Subpart F, Section 163(j) and BEAT
Work with and provide tax support to the Legal, M&A, Treasury and Accounting teams on transactions, including intercompany arrangements
Support tax compliance and provision functions on reporting of transactions
Coordinate the use of outside tax consultants where appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Licensed CPA, MST or JD preferred
Minimum of 7 years professional tax experience in a corporate tax department and/or Big 4 accounting firm or large law firm
Experience in U.S. outbound international tax issues
Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage competing priorities and internal and external deadlines
Positive attitude and dependable team player with strong attention to detail
Highly skilled in Excel. Proficient in other Microsoft Office suite of products
